This policy explains how the operator of Arthur (“we”, “us”) handles information in Arthur.

Information Arthur handles

• Accounting data from the connected QuickBooks Online company.
• Financial records and correspondence provided to Arthur, which may include information about vendors, customers and personnel.
• Account and usage information for authorized users.
• Technical information needed to operate and secure the application.

How it is used

Information is used only to maintain the connected company’s accounting records and to operate and secure Arthur. Data from QuickBooks Online is used only for these purposes. We do not sell information, use it for advertising, or combine it with data from other QuickBooks companies.

Sharing

Information is shared only with service providers that help us operate Arthur, under obligations to protect it and use it only to provide their services, or where the law requires. AI services that process information for Arthur may not use it to train their models.

Security

Arthur uses industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, restricted access and activity logging. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect the information Arthur handles.

Retention

Information is kept for as long as it is needed for business purposes and to meet legal, tax and accounting record-keeping requirements.

Disconnecting QuickBooks

A QuickBooks administrator can disconnect Arthur at any time from the apps settings in QuickBooks Online. Arthur then stops accessing the QuickBooks company.
